Why We Built This Site
Florida keeps most jail and inmate information open to the public, so the records are out there. The trouble is that they are scattered, and the system that holds a person depends on their custody status. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office runs the local jail roster, which covers people awaiting court and those serving short county sentences. The Florida Department of Corrections runs a separate locator for people sentenced to state prison. Federal and immigration detainees show up in still other databases. We gather these rosters, locators, facility contacts, visitation details, and request steps into one set of plain pages so a search starts in the right spot instead of a dead end.
What You Will Find Here
Each page is built around a real task someone is trying to finish. The main ones are linked below.
- Inmate lookup help across jail inmate records, jail roster mugshots, and court records after a jail arrest.
- A page for each detention facility in Duval County, with its address, phone, and visiting setup.
- Step-by-step help for the county jail roster and the statewide Florida inmate locator.
- How to request a booking record or photo and what response to expect from the records process.
What We Cannot Do
It helps to be plain about our limits. This is a privately run reference site. We have no tie to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the Florida Department of Corrections, any court, or any other government agency or jail. We do not hold the records ourselves, and we cannot act on a case in any way.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule a visit, or send money for you.
- We cannot give legal advice.
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or address stays current.
Only the sheriff's office or the corrections department can confirm current custody, charges, or release. We can point you to the right roster, but the official answer comes from them.
Search Partners
Some pages include a search box powered by an outside provider that sets its own pricing. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that fee is what keeps this site free to use. We do not control how those partners price their service or what their results contain. Their tools are an option, not a requirement, and the official county and state systems described on every page are always free to search.
